Yo Re Mi

Music Based Yoga

Yo Re Mi  brings curriculum-based music and yoga education to your school in our weekly classes. We incorporate live music, movement, and playing instruments while supporting your curriculum goals. In addition to combining two enrichment classes into one, we celebrate the uniqueness of a child’s mind, honoring their creativity and imagination into a non-competitive environment.

Benefits of Yo Re Mi:

Yo Re Mi engages children’s innate creativity and encourages learning through exploration and discovery.

YOGA fosters concentration, focus, strength, flexibility, balance, health, social emotional learning, fine and gross motor skills. And breath and body awareness.

MUSIC fosters speech development, listening skills, patterning and sequencing, social skills, emotional development, memory, and physical coordination.

Combining music with yoga triggers sensory integration and complex congnitive development, aiding retention as children learn through experiences that include physical, auditory, and emotional inputs.

An Introduction to Chess!

Our chess class is designed and paced especially for preschoolers age 4-6. Children will enjoy lively interactive lessons and original mini-games under the caring guidance of teachers, experts with young chess players. Enrollment is limited to 6 children, we hope you join us!

Why Chess?

  • Academic Enrichment

Multiple studies indicate that youngsters who learn and practice chess enjoy remarkable growth in areas as diverse as math, language, music and science.

  • Logical Thinking

Chess enhances children’s executive functioning skills enabling them to plan ahead, reason strategically, shift gears and problem solve.

  • Empathy, Risk-Taking & Resilience

Young chess players are strengthening their resilience - the ability to return and try again after a setback. They are building empathy - for their teammates and their opponents. They are growing as risk takers, ready to jump in when they spot an opportunity.
